    Xarello 2019

Xarello is a Spanish native variety of Catalonian origin, better known as one of the three traditional varieties, used to make cava. Xarello is valued for the acidity it brings to wines and stands out as one of Spain’s finest white-wine varieties. This grape has a thick skin, is high in polyphenols, and its juice offers an excellent balance of sugars and acids. In this wine, we have sought to obtain the natural reflection of the terroir of Cabellut. It is an aromatic young dry wine with a mature level of acidity, clean and bright with a sunny yellow color.

We find aromas of wild fennel, elder flower, yellow plums and apple. The passage through the mouth fills and awakens our senses and lasts over time. We recommend that you give it a couple of turns in the glass before you drink it to allow the wine to open for you.

    Chardonnay 2019

Chardonnay, a global phenomenon, is a green-skinned grape variety that originally became famous in the Burgundy wine region in France. We planted ours in 2014 on the left hill of Cabellut at the most Northern side. In our first year, we harvested early, which resulted in a low alcohol wine with a high acidity next to aromas of flowers and ripe white fruits such as peaches, pineapple, and yellow apples. They are present both in nose and mouth. It is a clear straw yellow wine, which has aged in the finest new French barrels with different toasting levels to obtain a complex and unctuous wine.

    Macabeo 2020

Macabeo, a variety mostly known as one of the three grape varieties to produce Cava.

We made a single variety wine with this grape. Our Macabeo wine has a mineral nose with aromas of roasted almonds, lime, pink grapefruit. You can even find a delicate smell of petrol. This wine aged 4 months in oak barrels, which gave this wine its roasted notes. You can taste roasted nuts, lime, orange and pear in the mouth, together with a delicate bitter note.

    Vinyater 2021

A forgotten and old grape variety from the Penedes region. Only 4 hectares are planted in Catalunya with this grape variety.

The production method of this wine is similar like the method of an “orange wine”, which is called the Brizat technique. The grape skins stayed a week in contact with the must to extract as much as possible aroma precursors found in the skin of the grape.

Our Vinyater has a straw yellow color, with a bright and clear character. It has smoky aroma sensations together with fresh citrus notes. Furthermore, the smell reminds us of white fruit blossoms. We tried to let the grape stand out in this wine, therefore we vinified it in steel tanks, without aging in wooden barrels. In the mouth it gives you sensations of pink grapefruit, gooseberry and lemon. It has a full mouth and long persistence.

    Garnatxa 2019

Garnatxa is one of the most famous Spanish grapes and articulates extremely well in our terroir. It easily withstands the high temperatures the region has as the leaves protect the fruit to ripen quietly without burning in the summer sun. On the nose, we immediately find that the violet flower and geranium stand out, with an exceptionally fine and elegant aroma to finish with some red berries. In the mouth those aromas, especially blackberries, and raspberries are confirmed. It has a full mouth for a young wine, with a long aftertaste. We added a bit of our Cabernet Sauvignon to add some more body to the wine. We like to highlight the red color with blue reflections that remain in the glass before refilling it.

You really don’t taste the 14.5% alcohol, because its not too peppery or too fiery, rather salty finish. After a day uncorked: stronger impressions of toffee, but still with the citrus-zesty character and the underlying fraîcheur.

    Garnatxa 2020

For this harvest we focused even more on our terroir, minerality, purity and the fruitiness of the Garnaxta.

This wine has a very light violet color. Strawberries and raspberries with a spicy touch attack your nose directly.  In the mouth the wine transforms to blueberries, plums and strawberry jam. The refreshing acidity and the fruit bomb make this bottle unique.

    Merlot 2019

Merlot is a dark, blue-colored wine grape variety, that is used both as a blending grape and for monovarietal or single variety wines. The name Merlot is thought to be a diminutive of merle, the French name for the blackbird, probably a reference to the color of the grape. Our climate is ideally for a smooth, full, but elegant wine. We notice immediately ripe fruit on the nose, many plum aromas which are also present in the mouth. Besides plums, we find aromas of milk chocolate, caramel and blueberries. The mouth fills us with complexity, achieved through the vinification and aging in a mixture of the newest and finest barrels of French and American origin. We find toasted wood sensations together with vanilla and cacao, but always without masking the fruit of the grape. It has a long and full aftertaste, which makes us enjoy each glass.

Very successful, elegant and well-balanced Merlot that outclasses many Bordelaise copies in the more expensive Bordeaux Supérieur or Cru Bourgeois genre.

    Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the world’s most widely recognized red wine grape varieties. It is grown in nearly every major wine producing country among a diverse spectrum of climates from Canada’s Okanagan Valley to Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley. This is a classic and fantastic Cabernet Sauvignon, full-bodied with high tannins and noticeable acidity that surprise due to its young balance, power, and amazing softness with an American smile. It has an intense cherry ruby color, bright and clear. On the nose, we find ripe fruits achieved by the long ripening done on the wine, such as blackberries, plum and very ripe strawberry compote. An explosion of tastes reflects in the mouth, with flavors of tobacco, dried fruits, plums and ripe strawberry.  A subtle flavor of vanilla is also present due to the aging in the finest oak barrels.

    Ella Charles 2020

Ella Charles is our first white Cabellut blend named after the youngest daughter of Nico, co-owner at Masia Cabellut. We created an atypical blend, very pure and mineral of a very traditional Spanish variety, Macabeu, which is one of the three cava grape varieties, together with a famous French grape, Sauvignon blanc.

Macabeu gives this wine a rounder swing and body. The glass shows a pale yellow color with green reflections. Ella Charles has a beautiful nose with scents of white flower, lemon, citrus zest, peaches and a touch of dried apricots. In the mouth the wine transforms to rose grapefruit with great length and complexity. A unique combination that you need to taste and enjoy.

    Nansella Pure 2019

Nansella is our first Brut Nature Sparkling Millésime, made with the traditional Champenoise method. The name represents the three ladies of the house of Nico: ‘ Nancy, Anse and Ella’.

This wine is a classic sparkling blend of 65 years old Macabeu, Xarel.lo and Parellada, with a slight dominance of Macabeu. It aged on lees for more than 16 months during the second fermentation.

The clear light straw colored sparkling wine shows a constant tsunami of miniature bubbles. Green apples, marzipan, bread and croissants explode in your nose. In the mouth it has impressions of freshly baked galettes and bread crumbs, a mineral undertone and white fruits, such as apples and pears. It’s very sec, in both nose and mouth, and you have a finishing flavor of almond biscuit.
